A “Condom Fair” was held in Maxwell's Feb. 20, organized by Emerald Cavoto and Jocelyn DSCN0993_600x450.jpgLiberatore along with Student Activities Council using a grant from the Great American Condom Campaign. Several Student groups set up booths at the event with information about sexual health, including Alpha Phi Omega, Zeta Tau Alpha, Alpha Sigma Phi, Tri-Beta and Delta Tau Delta.

Cavoto and Liberatore are co-founders of The Awake and Alive project, a non-profit organization which promotes HIV/AIDS awareness and support though the performing arts by telling the stories of victims or those whose lives have been otherwise affected.

In addition to calling attention to the issue, the project hopes to raise funds toward a cure for the disease. For Cavoto, Wednesday's event was a continuation of their efforts toward HIV/AIDS and STD prevention and stigma reduction.
